    Default Oat Starch

Alot of supplement company's are selling Oat Starch trying to rip off the proteinfactory.com's Oat muscle powder. Fortunately for us, the Oatmuscle is a product that we have manufactured just for us. Its a one of a kind product and cannot be duplicated. So what other supplement company's do is try to find any powder from Oats. Oat starch is pretty much the only one that these dumbass can find. But here's the best part that bites these ripoff artists wanna be's in the ass. Oat Starch contains resistant carbs. Resistant carbs the body CANNOT digest. Meaning they go in one end and right out the other. Or they make you throw up. The body cant handle it. Here is a post on the forum of one of these company's that sells a product called "Swedish Oat Starch". The customer bought their Oat Starch and is now having problems.

    "My oat starch experiance...
I have been using oat starch for a while now. Recently, I have been having some problems with it though. It doesnt like to digest. I drink it with my whey isolate before the gym...about 45min before leaving the house. In the middle of the workout I get a little nautous, like I need to puke...not normal for me. Anyways, today I get home and puke. Mostly water but at the end i get what feels like sand coming up through my throat. A ton of oat starch comes out all gritty and condensed. It basically just sits there and takes up room in my stomach and doesnt get digested, so it makes me sick. No wonder why I have been feeling hypo at the gym...my carbs are not getting through.

I have never had this issue with any carbs, and never had the issue with oats either. Very weird. Any thoughts guys?"

Nice huh. Yea dude, its called they are selling you a product that you can digest.

Here he is again posting how he threw up.

"Damn, I just had another whey isolate/oat starch shake as part of breakfast, and just threw part of it back up"

Here is a wanna be expert recommending or really guessing to this guy taking Potato Starch. But the Starch will give the guy the same problems.

"Maybe the new potato starch will be good for you... otherwise back to what works w/out problems Malt.
How are you w/ Dex or the Rice carb?"

Then the guy with the problem with Oat Starch posts this.

    "No problems with regular oats."

He doesnt have have any problems with regular oats because its not STARCH!!

The company that sold this guy the Oat Starch never answered the guy. I guess they dont care about their customers throwing up their products. or they just dont know that they are selling this guy a product he cannot digest.

    Bottom Line.

Swedish Oat Starch is NOT comparable to my Oatmuscle. Oatmuscle you can actually digest. Swedish Oat Starch sucks and is a cheap shitty product. They sell it for like $3 and some change. That only should tell you the product is cheap shit. The probably pay about 99 cents a pound for the stuff

What's even more absurd with all of this cheap "oat starch" is that OM is reasonably priced: $7/lb for the regular, and $8/lb for the instantized version, and most likely you're only going to use a moderate percentage in a protein shake. So, why not use the "real deal" rather than junk?

Since the only ingredient listed in OM is "oatmeal powder," I take it OM is essentially a "whole grain" product?

Augh. Cheap imitations are always so irritating. They don't work as well and there are so many people who are buy into the hype that the other version is cheaper and better. In reality, you're getting a poor quality product at a lower cost -- but it simply isn't worth it when you think about what the original does for you!
