Tuna Salad
This is probably a generic recipie that others have heard about but I llike to make it shortly before I exercise. It is very easy and takes little time to prepare
I cook whole wheat pasta (to preference), while this is cooking I cut celery, onions, actually any veggie you might desire. Put in a can of tuna and cooked pasta (once it's done). Add mayo (can omit, add low fat, or even olive oil I guess if your into that) mix and eat. Way better than a boring old tuna sandwich or straight out of the can. I personally am not afraid to eat alittle fat here and there. Elbow macaroni is the best because you can eat the salad with a spoon, this makes it much more easy to eat. I have other recipies, slightly more complicated, if there is any interest. They beat the old George Forman chicken breast with a side of brown rice and veggie.

Isn't anyone hungry? Or did my recipe cause everyone to wretch? Oh well, more to come irregardless.

Not really, I just have nothing to contribute. Eventually I will, just not now. Does look like some of the meals I have made though.

That's OK. I try to eat well but my diet isn't extremely religious, as far as rigid control over portions, nutrients and the like, I do think they benefit a healthy lifestyle however. I'll post more, cooking is fun!

Ha, I will eat ANYTHING. I recently used grapefruit juice on my cereal 4 days in a row because I didn't have milk. I've even used grape fruit juice to mix my chocolate protein powder. I barely even like GF juice lol. Tuna is decent, and the meal you mentioned sounds very wise.

I tinkered with this tuna salad recipie and decided to share if anyone is interested. It is exactly the same as in the opening post: Whole wheat pasta, celery, onion, tuna, mayo. However I added some black beans to it and crushed red pepper. I used canned beans that I strained and rinsed. I enjoyed it quite a bit. I made it spicy, I actually began to perspire as I ate! I will try to substitute the mayo for cottage cheese when I go food shopping again next week or so and see how that is. Hopefully I don't barf!
edit: Beans, beans they are good for the heart...

I tried the now-trendy Greek fat-free yogurt a few weeks ago, and as soon as I tried the plain, I thought it'd be good for tuna salad as a mayo substitute. Needs some seasoning, but it works well.
