I have put together a list of the best wireless headphones for working out.

The Best Wireless Headphones For Working Out

Plush headphones that cover your ear usually deliver great sound and are comfortable to wear. However, a solidly built pair of wireless earbuds is a better fit when it comes to strolling around town, traveling and exercising. To find out how good the best wireless workout earbuds available are, I wore them over the last few months as I was watching funny yoga and barre videos on my laptop, hiking, rock climbing, running through trials and weightlifting.

I have come up with a list of the best workout earbuds as featured on Sportsamigos.com, for those of you who enjoy listening to some awesome tracks when manicuring their lawn or hiking along a trail. Fingers crossed, you will decide to get your very own pair from the suggestions below.

The Bose SoundSport Free Wireless Headphones

These earbuds are considered to be a true representation of the wireless design. However, they protrude from the wearer’s ears with their 1.25” width and 1.5 depth. They produce such a great sound that you might not pay much attention to how weird they might make you look. To keep your ears from experiencing any discomfort, and allow some ambient noise, to signal the approach of an angry dog or bicycle rider, the earbuds come with spongy silicone rubber fins that are positioned immediately outside the wearer’s ear canal. You can recharge them twice over, by clicking them into place back into their clamshell case. These headphones are a great choice for those who can ignore the relatively high asking price as well as the noticeable lag experienced when watching video clips on a phone.

The Plantronics Backbeat FIT 2100 Wireless Earphones

The latest iteration of the Plantronics BackBeat FIT, introduced in 2018, just made our preferred workout headphones even better. In comparison with the original BackBeat FIT earphones, these function, sound and even look better. Each and every function of these stylish metallic finish earphones can now be conveniently controlled using the PLT BackBeat app. You can also expect them to last through your entire run with their impressive 7 hour battery life. The bigger sound driver translates into an even bigger sound, while the Always Aware feature ensures that you can still hear ambient noise to keep you aware of your surroundings, such as incoming traffic. To top it all off, these headphones are still waterproof and highly durable.

The Plantronics Tarah Wireless Earbuds By Jaybird

You can expect to enjoy nothing but high quality sound and extended life from two of the latest Jaybird earbuds, the X4 and Tarah. The Tarah has everything you need and more, at a pocket friendly price, if you can live without the storage pouch and special soft Comply foam ear tips that come with the X4. During my time lifting weights, climbing rocks and running, the eargels held on securely, as a result of their great fit. These buds are less than half an ounce in weight. More importantly, you create your own custom EQ settings or choose any of the pre programmed settings using the Jaybird App. Be warned, the sound quality on these buds might just cause you to forget about exercising!

The Flex Sport Headphones By JLab Audio

It might not sound wise to go with over the ear workout buds, we agree. However, to securely hold onto your head, JLab Audio’s flex Sport headphones come with three adjustable fit levels. To make things even better, their battery can last for 20 hours. The optional headband padding and cotton/polyester ear cups, designed to wick away sweat, are machine washable. To ensure that you won’t be surprised by any traffic coming up from behind you, Be Aware Audio uses the microphone on the headphones to pick up ambient noise. Over-ear headphones are best for those who enjoy well crafted stereo mixes.

The CX Sport Headphones By Sennheiser

Packed in a long lasting splashproof case, the Sennheiser CX Sport headphones show off the exceptional sound quality associated with the brand. These buds provide great sound isolation, are comfy and fit securely in the wearer’s ears once you get the correct earbud fin combination for your ears. Thanks to these buds, I was able to run past a loud barbecue party without picking up on any noise. However, you might want to consider other option if your workout music has a lot of blaring bass in it. Before you head out on your run, remember to pair these headphones with the device you will be using, as they connect to numerous devices, and might have been previously paired with a different device such as a laptop.

The JBL Endurance Sprint Headphones

The JBL Endurance Sprint headphones, which are waterproof, come highly recommended by Jeffrey Van Cam, a colleague of mine. You get a solid fit, good sound that features a great level of bass and a battery that will last you 8 hours, for this price. If you sweat a lot, then you will be happy to know that these buds are waterproof enough to handle a quick rinse in the sink. Just like the NuForce Be Sport4, if you have small ears, you might want to consider other options.

The NuForce Be Live5 Headphones By Optoma

Enjoy an attractively priced and versatile pair of buds with Optoma’s BE Live5. You can actually exercise in these headphones considering their practical design. The earpieces, featuring a sleek aluminum finish, which come together magnetically, wrapping around your neck, when taken off, definitely seem to be worth more than the less than $100 asking price. These headphones can be used in sweat inducing workout sessions, or even in the rain thanks to their IPX5 rating. The batter can last through 8 hours of use. During vigorous workouts however, I found that the slick silicone tips moved out of place way too often.

In conclusion, I hope you have enjoyed my top 7 list of the best wireless headphones for working out.  Don’t forget AFTER you workout to consume a good protein shake like our Muscle Shake.
