Local Raw Honey 100%
Our local raw honey is 100% unprocessed leaving all the nutrients completely intact. We literally pick this honey up ourselves from a mom and pop farm that we found not far from our headquarters. After watching a Netflix documentary on how dirty the honey industry is, I did not feel confident in buying ANY raw honey unless I went to the farm myself. And that is exactly what I did. I drove to a small farm about 20 minutes from my house in New Jersey and saw with my own two eyes, the beehives and how it is processed. The bee farm consists of two people, the wife, who does mostly all the work, and her husband. The perfect operation and makes me feel 100% confident selling this local raw honey to my customers.
How To Use Raw Honey For Bodybuilding and Athletic Purposes
For general muscle building and recovery, use 2-3 tables spoons in a recovery protein drink.
1/3 cup of Muscle Shake
2-3 tbs of raw honey
1/4 cup of Oatmuscle
For weight gaining
1/3 cup of Growth Pro Peptides
3 tbs of raw honey
2 tbs of flax oil
1 tsp of creapure
Add various fruits and vegetable
1 tbs per day
I personally like to use at least 1 tbs per day. It acts as a multivitamin/superfood. Great to use in the winter to help boost the immune system.
WARNING: NEVER BUY HONEY FROM THE GROCERY STORE. PROCESSED HONEY CONTAINS VERY LITTLE NUTRIENTS COMPARED TO RAW LOCAL HONEY. NOT ONLY THAT BUT THE INDUSTRY IS LIKE THE DRUG TRADE, VERY BAD PEOPLE INVOLVED.
Benefits of Raw Honey
Raw honey is a bodybuilder’s best friend. I consider it a superfood, just like whole eggs. Local raw honey contains a boatload of nutrients like vitamins and minerals, antioxidants, and enzymes. Just like whole eggs, raw honey is a complete meal, minus the protein.
If one is looking to increase muscle mass, one must lift weights and/or increase protein intake. Those are the two best ways, naturally to increase muscle mass. However, if one consumes ONLY protein, the body will simply just use those amino acids from the protein for energy and the chances of those amino acids triggering an anabolic response for any period of time are slim to none. Therefore one must “tell” their body that they are feeding it adequate energy for survival. That energy is in the form of carbohydrates. Raw local honey is one of the best sources of carbs along with vegetables, and grains. Raw local honey contains different sugars like mono, di, and trisaccharides (glucose, fructose, and sucrose). Similar to getting different protein sources for different rates of absorption, the same goes for raw honey. You’ll get the different rates of absorption. I can guarantee you that if you are having trouble gaining muscle mass, try to ALWAYS add local raw honey to your protein drink and you’ll start seeing some gains.
I found this study that compared different sources of carbohydrates on testosterone levels, cortisol levels, and insulin levels. The researchers concluded that honey performs equally well as processed carbs. On a side note this study used honey powder, which without question did not contain the level of nutrients that raw honey does. Therefore I theorize that raw honey should have performed better.
Source of Anti-oxidants and Electrolytes
When it comes to post-training recovery the body needs for things: carbs, protein, electrolytes, and anti-oxidants. Raw honey, not processed, provides anti-oxidants needed. Honey contains electrolytes as well. Vitally needed for recovery.
Raw honey contains digestive enzymes that help carbohydrates digest better.
