By Alex Rogers, President of ProteinFactory
Let’s get this out of the way:
Nothing “natural” is going to be Ozempic. GLP-1 drugs are prescription meds with powerful effects and real side effects. If you’re on them (or should be), that’s a conversation for you + your doctor.
But if what you actually want is the practical part — less hunger, fewer cravings, easier compliance, and better body comp — you can build a stack that hits the same outcomes using mechanisms that are (1) legal, (2) non-stimulant, and (3) science-based.
Here’s my favorite appetite-control stack when the goal is “eat less without suffering”:
- Whey Protein
- Micellar Casein
- Capsimax® (capsaicinoids)
- Dry extract of konjac tuber (Amorphophallus konjac K. Koch) — i.e., glucomannan
And yes — this is very “ProteinFactory”: simple ingredients, real mechanisms, no fairy dust.
Why these 4 work together (the appetite “four horsemen”)
1) Whey Protein: fast satiety + “kill the snack demon”
Whey digests fast, spikes amino acids fast, and tends to produce a strong acute satiety effect for many people. In human research, whey has shown favorable satiety outcomes versus casein in overweight/obese subjects. PMID: 24801369. (europepmc.org)
How I use it: as a “hunger breaker” earlier in the day — especially when people normally start grazing.

2) Micellar Casein: slow, thick, anti-hunger “time release”
Casein forms a gel in the stomach and digests slowly — making it perfect when your problem isn’t starting hunger, but hunger returning too soon.

3) Capsimax®: “turn the volume down” on appetite + small metabolism bump
Capsaicinoids can influence energy expenditure and appetite-related outcomes, though effects tend to be modest. PMID: 22038945. (europepmc.org)
Capsimax delivers these compounds without the gastric irritation typical of raw chili peppers.

4) Konjac (Glucomannan): the “mechanical Ozempic” move
Glucomannan is a viscous soluble fiber from konjac. It expands in water, increases stomach volume, slows gastric emptying, and increases fullness.
Take with plenty of water — the fuller the stomach, the more effective it is at signaling satiety. I dont sell this but I recommend the NOW Foods Supplements, Glucomannan. Remember you need 3 grams.
Protocol: When to Use Each
Simple, Real-World Protocol (No Overthinking Required)
This stack works best when you keep it boring and repeatable. Appetite control improves through consistency, not cleverness.
1) Konjac (Glucomannan): Before Meals, Every Time
This part is non-negotiable.
- Take konjac (glucomannan) 30–60 minutes before your main meals
- Always with plenty of water
This is your mechanical appetite control. It increases stomach volume, slows gastric emptying, and makes it easier to eat less without feeling deprived.
If you skip the water, skip the konjac. Period.
2) Morning Protein Shake: Whey + Casein Combo
Instead of choosing fast or slow protein — use both.
- ¼ cup whey protein
- ¼ cup micellar casein
- Mix with water (or low-calorie liquid of choice)
Why this works:
Whey provides fast satiety and kills early cravings. Casein slows digestion and keeps hunger from rebounding an hour later. Together, they create a smooth, sustained appetite-control curve instead of spikes and crashes.
3) Mid-Afternoon Shake: Repeat the Combo
This is where most diets fail.
- ¼ cup whey protein
- ¼ cup micellar casein
Same logic, same outcome: fewer afternoon cravings, fewer bad decisions, better compliance through dinner.
4) Training Window: Whey + Capsimax
Around workouts, we keep things clean and functional.
- Whey protein only
- Capsimax® with the meal or shake
No casein here. You want fast digestion and fast amino acids, not a slow-digesting gel sitting in your stomach during or after training.
Capsimax adds a mild thermogenic and appetite-support effect without stimulants or GI drama.
5) Nighttime: Casein If Needed
If late-night hunger is a problem:
- Micellar casein before bed
If you’re not hungry, don’t force it. Casein is a tool — not a rule. Use it when nighttime hunger threatens compliance.
Why This Setup Works (Big Picture)
- Konjac reduces how much you want to eat
- Whey shuts hunger down quickly
- Casein keeps it from coming back too soon
- Capsimax supports appetite control without stimulants
No drugs. No gimmicks. No pretending supplements are prescriptions.
Just layered physiology done correctly.
🧠 PRO TIP: Add MOD6 Carb for Better Appetite Control & Stable Energy
One area people overlook when dieting is carbohydrate timing for appetite and energy stability.
Introducing MOD6 Carb — a slow-digesting complex carbohydrate that helps smooth blood glucose swings and keeps energy levels even when calories are restricted.
Why this matters:
- Rapid glucose spikes → crashes → hunger hormones increase → cravings hit.
- Slow-burn carbs help reduce those swings, which may indirectly reduce hunger intensity and help you stick to your plan.
Most “fast carbs” either spike insulin quickly or get stored as fat — neither of which helps appetite control. MOD6 Carb sits in the middle: it provides sustained glucose without a roller coaster.
Pro Tip Usage:
- Add 1–2 scoops post-workout with whey to replenish glycogen without spiking hunger.
- Or use with breakfast if you’re someone whose hunger ramps up mid-morning.

Safety First
- Talk to your doctor if you’re pregnant, nursing, have GI disease, or take meds that affect blood sugar/appetite.
- Glucomannan + water only. Without enough water, it can cause choking/esophageal obstruction.
- If you’re already on a GLP-1 drug: talk to a professional before stacking ingredients.
Realistic Expectations
This stack won’t make you “forget to eat” the way prescription medicines can.
What it can do is:
✔ Make hunger less loud
✔ Make calorie control less miserable
✔ Help you preserve muscle while dieting
✔ Smooth energy & hunger signals with smart carb timing
That’s how you win long-term.
