CB 1 weight gainer on their website sites a clinical trial in which subjects that took their product gained an average of 3 pounds in 4 weeks. Wow! 3 lbs in four weeks. In my opinion, this is very weak.
In addition on their website is also claims that subjects that took CB1 weight gain pills maintained their weight gain. Again, another weak claim.
Finally on their website it seems they sell a powdered weight gainer which I cannot find the ingredients or supplement facts
My Conclusion of CB1 weight gainer pills
I have analyzed this dietary supplement I can make the recommendation that there are much better ways to gain weight than taking a weight gain pill. Gaining 3 lbs of weight in 4 weeks is nothing to write home about and I feel you’d have a much greater success at alternatives that I will recommend below.

Seems like a simple answer, but the fact of the matter is the most effective means to gain weight. You’ll have better chance at gaining weight than taking weight loss pills. Weight loss pills do not provide any calories that are adequately enough to help you gain weight. Food, on the other hand contains what you need to gain weight. Here are some foods that I recommend to help you gain.
The best thing to do is go to the grocery store with this list and purchase these foods and eat them on a daily basis.
When trying to gain weight you want to gain muscle weight, not fat weight. If you gain muscle weight you will look better, have more curves, be stronger, and overall be healthier. If you gain weight that is mainly fat, this will lead to all sorts of problems. Bad skin, bad health, diabetes, low energy, ugly muscle tone, and overall a bad looking physique. Protein is needed to help increase muscle protein synthesis. When you increase muscle protein synthesis you will begin to grow muscle and that will help you gain weight.
Type of protein foods you can buy.
In addition to buying and eating protein foods you can buy protein powder supplements. Keep in mind that protein powder supplements are the same thing as buying foods that are high in protein like I mentioned above. Drinking egg white protein powder is the same thing as eating egg whites. Eating cottage cheese is the same thing as drinking micellar casein protein powder. That is why some nutritional experts claim that you do not need protein powders, you can simply eat protein foods. The only ingredients in this product is: Milk, Cream, Skim Milk, Sugar, Egg Yolks, Natural Vanilla Extract and Vanilla Bean Specks.
This is what you want to get when you get ice cream. It is about 15 % fat, which is what you want because fat has more calories per gram than protein and carbs.
2 scoops of native whey protein isolate. This is one of the best protein for weight gain. Native whey protein isolate is the highest quality whey protein powder you can buy because it comes directly from milk and not cheese. Most of the whey protein powders on the market come from cheese, which means they are pasteuirzed twice.
3 tbsp of sunflower oil
2 tbs of flax oil
These two oils are going to be very important to use. Do NOT skip out on using these oils in your weight gain shake. The reason these two ingredients are so important in your weight gain shake and WHY it is so much better than using weight gain pills or weight gain tablets is that it provides THE most important factor in gaining weight, and that is CALORIES!
Calories are essential to gaining weight. Whether it is muscle weight or fat weight you need a higher caloric intake in order to increase body fat. Increasing your calories is the fastest way to gain weight. There are no pills to gain weight fast. Only increasing your caloric intake is the best solution to gain weight rapidly.
When you use 5 tbs of oil coming from sources like hemp, flax, sunflower, and safflower, you are getting 129 calories per tbs. Therefore 5 tbs is over 600 calories!
Some fruits and vegetable of choice
Don’t forget to add some fruits and vegetables to your mass gainer shake. Not only will this give you extra calories that are essential to weight gain, but it will give you naturally occurring vitamins, minerals, and anti-oxidants which will help with recovery from exercise or weight training.

The problem with weight gain supplement or mass gain supplements that are sold on the retail shelf is that they are actually no better than eating food. You must understand one simple thing when it comes to weight gain supplements or protein shakes to gain weight

No matter how you slice and dice it, you can only get calories from 3 sources: protein, carbohydrates, and fats. Protein and carbohydrates give you 4 calories per gram, but fat, your number one friend for weight gain, gives you 9 calories per gram.
And this is why weight gain supplements most of the time stink. Most of the weight gainers only consist of protein and carbs and do not give you any fat. Therefore no matter what the ratio of protein to carbs in the mass gainers are, they give the same amount of calories.
In addition, do not be fooled by the serving size trick that supplement companies use to make you think you getting more calories than average. If you take a look at some weight gain supplements you’ll see that they have huge serving sizes. Upwards around 100 to 200 grams. This is insane! It would mean you would have to drink almost a 1/2 pound of protein powder.
CB1 weight gainer is a dietary supplement that supposedly makes you want to eat more. The directions tell you, according to their website, to take it before meals. However I do not think this approach works.
In addition to the foods you are supposed to eat when trying to gain weight, here are some things NOT to eat.
- sugar. I firmly believe that humans are not meant to consume this product. There is not one single nutritional benefit to eating sugar. It is very bad for you and will increase your body fat if consumed in excess amounts.
- artificial sweeteners. I feel the same way about this product as I do with sugar. I do not feel that humans should be consuming artificial sweeteners such as splenda, aspartame, and believe it or not stevia. Stevia I feel can lower testosterone levels.
In conclusion, weight gain pills and weight gain tablets such as CB1 weight gainer is not the best way or the fastest way to gain weight. The fastest way to gain weight is to consume extra calories AND to lift weights or bodybuild. Finally the best and fastest way to gain weight is to workout. Lifting free weights increases muscle protein synthesis which in turn will increase lean muscle mass. This is easily the best book on how to workout, which exercises to do for each body part, and it will even give you some information about supplements and protein powders.
I would only use a weight gain pill such as CB1 weight gainer if I tried everything else and still had a low appetite. I would put this in the highly experimental category. CB1 weight gainer might help increase your appetite but it is not a magic pill that you simply take it, do nothing, meaning do not consume any extra calories or workout, and just expect to gain weight. You won’t. You need to do what I told you above and that is the fastest way to gain weight.
