Easier said than done, I know. I’ve been plagued with being an ectomorph thanks to my skinny mom and dad. I’ve been trying to gain weight since I was 16. I’m now 42. I’ve pretty much tried everything and anything. For Pete’s Sake, I own a supplement company thus I have access to all the supplements you can imagine and more. I’ve been a human guinea pig for everything, from cricket protein powder, to fertile egg yolks, to amino acids from worms. Yes I have tried it all. However I never tried prohormones. I felt these were just chemicals and I did not want to go that route. But anyhow’s, I’ve tried everything and anything to gain weight and I can tell you there is no secret supplement for weight gain. The only secret is to eat, and to eat a lot. My junior year in college I was able to do this ( I got to 225lbs) and quite frankly I was never able to do this again. Right now I am 6 foot tall and weight 194lbs, my elbow is shot ( my right elbow kills me with pain when I workout), My hamstrings are prone to tearing (I must have pulled them 10 times at least), my back is sensitive (years of deadlifting 405lbs for reps), however I feel I am in really good shape. I’m still fairly ripped, vascular, and fairly strong. That being said no way in hell I’m getting to 225lbs. Father time won’t let it. But back in 1994, I used a recipe that got me to 225lbs. Here it is.
In a blender.
1 scoop of protein powder. In this case I would use my Molkegan Whey Isolate (5lb) – Vanilla
1 fruit of choice. I would use banana’s and strawberries
16oz of whole milk. Nowadays I would use organic
In addition I would swallow, 3 capsules of fish oil and 2 capsules of CLA.
I would drink this twice a day in addition to my meals.
I gain about 20lbs in 8 weeks. I was big and strong and set my deadlift personal record at Workout World in Brick New Jersey of 500lbs.
As you can see, it is heavy on the fats. TheFat coming from the oils is what is going to give you the calories.Click To Tweet I did this until I literally could not do it anymore.
